Q1: Why is God’s Word so important for today’s teen girl?

Being a teen girl is not easy, especially in the world we live in today. Life is often filled with peer pressure, mixed messages, questions, and contradicting voices trying to influence who these girls will become. God gave us His Word that is full of promises, and is one of the ways He speaks to us today. When we spend time in God’s Word, we are able to know who God is, what He says about us, and who He has created us to be. God’s Word is power and when we spend time reading it, memorizing it, and applying it, our lives will be transformed and we will change the world around us.

Q2: What features about the NIV Bible for Teen Girls excites you most?

Q3: How have you seen the NIV Bible for Teen Girls impact your daughter?

My oldest daughter, Catherine, recently turned thirteen and has officially embarked on the journey of navigating life as a teenager. It has brought me so much joy seeing her spend time on her own reading NIV Bible for Teen Girls so she can discover what God is saying to her. When I asked her what she liked most about her Bible, she commented on how fun it is to read because there are extra areas that explain more about the verse or story, and that makes her want to read it more. I am grateful for a version of the Bible that speaks directly to her where she is as she starts her teen years.

Q4: Why would you recommend the NIV Bible for Teen Girls?

Besides being cute and compact, the NIV Bible for Teen Girls is full of helpful guides, daily readings, contextualizing information, and “real-talk” that is relatable, challenging, and engaging. All of these extra features help guide teen girls through the scriptures by bringing deeper understanding and connection, and allows them to encounter God’s love and know their identity.

Q5: What message would you like to share with today’s teen girls?

If you are a teen girl, I want you to know and believe that regardless of what your story is, God has a plan, purpose, and future for you and it is full of hope. You are beautiful and you are enough. It doesn’t matter what labels the world has tried to put on you or even what labels you have put on yourself, God loves you so much and is inviting you to discover who He is and the good plans that He has for you. You don’t have to wait to know Him, and you are not too young to live boldly for Him. There is so much inside of you and the dreams, desires, and passions He has placed in your heart are intentional, on purpose, and for a purpose.
