Though these unprecedented and challenging times may bring a load of uncertainty and fear that feels too heavy to bear, God gives us this promise: You’ll get through this.

In You'll Get Through This, pastor and New York Times bestselling author, Max Lucado reminds us that no matter what pit we find ourselves in, God has a plan and a pathway forward.

God doesn't promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. That certainly wasn’t the case for Joseph in the Bible, who was tossed in a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed, but God ultimately used the intended evil against Joseph for a greater purpose.

You’ll get through this.

It won’t be painless. It won’t be quick.

But God will use this mess for good.

Don’t be foolish or naïve. But don’t despair either.

With God’s help, you’ll get through this.

A Word from Max

Friends,

Do you need encouragement right about now? Are you feeling worried about the future, unsure of how this will all pan out? Though these unprecedented and challenging times may bring a load of uncertainty and fear that feels too heavy to bear, God gives us this promise: You’ll get through this.

If you need to be reminded of God’s promise, I would like to invite you to join me for two special online events:

  1. You’ll Get Through This Online Bible Study– starting Sunday, May 3, we will be offering a free online Bible study based on the book You’ll Get Through This.My prayer is that this study provides practical help for all of us as we seek to entrust our fears to God and remember that God cares deeply for us. This six-week study will conclude on June 14.
  1. Online Church– we know that many will be unable to worship with their local congregation, either because of the need to remain at home, or because their church is taking a hiatus from regular gathering. Or maybe you just need some extra support from a community of faith. We’ll meet online, via Facebook at 8:30 am CDT on Sundays for a few minutes of prayer and encouragement and will continue for the next several Sundays. Join us and invite others as well. https://www.facebook.com/maxlucado/

As we spend time together over the next few Sundays, we can encourage one another. These challenges are great, but God is greater. Let us take courage that God will restore even the most painful circumstances and use them for good.
